Terms and Conditions

By applying to pitch your energy company/startup/idea/project on The Deal Table (TDT), you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Eligibility

1.1. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to represent the energy company/startup/idea/project.
1.2.  Company/startup/idea/project at all stages of development are welcome to apply, but the selection process prioritizes ideas that align with The Deal Table’s renewable energy edition theme.
1.3.Participation is open to the public.

  1. Application Process

2.1. All applications must be submitted through the official application form available on TDT’s website.
2.2. Applicants must provide accurate and complete information. TDT is not responsible for any errors or omissions in the application.
2.3. Submission of an application does not guarantee selection for the podcast.

  1. Selection Criteria

3.1. Applications will be reviewed based on originality, market potential, and overall presentation quality.
3.2. The decision of the selection panel is final and not subject to appeal.

  1. Intellectual Property

4.1. By applying, you confirm that your energy company/startup/idea/project is your own or that you have the necessary rights to present it.
4.2. TDT does not claim any ownership over your idea. However, you acknowledge that sharing your idea on the podcast involves public disclosure.
4.3. Applicants are responsible for protecting their intellectual property, such as trademarks, copyrights, or patents.

  1. Recording and Broadcasting

5.1. If selected, you agree to participate in a recording session in Abuja at a date and time determined by TDT team.
5.2. You grant TDT permission to record, edit, and broadcast your pitch on all podcast platforms, social media channels, and promotional materials.
5.3. You waive any rights to approve the final recording or its use in promotions.

  1. Confidentiality

6.1. While TDT takes reasonable steps to maintain confidentiality during the application review process, it cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality of your submitted materials.
6.2. Do not disclose sensitive or proprietary information during the application or recording process unless you are comfortable with public disclosure.

  1. Disqualification

7.1. Applications containing false, misleading, or offensive content may be disqualified at the sole discretion of TDT team.
7.2. Failure to adhere to these terms may result in disqualification or removal from pitch lineup.

  1. Limitation of Liability

TDT is not responsible for any damages, including financial loss, arising from participation in the pitch/podcast or public disclosure of your idea.

  1. Changes to the Terms

TDT reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated through our official website, email or social media channels.

  1. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

By submitting your application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
